Fogo de Chão, an internationally renowned full-service Brazilian steakhouse, is expanding within Los Angeles with a new location coming to Woodland Hills, located at 6263 Topanga Canyon Blvd.
The new 8,066 square-foot restaurant will sit within The Q Topanga, a 347-unit luxury apartment community that opened last year. This will become the fourth Los Angeles County location, joining El Segundo as the other restaurant opening later this year. It’s unknown exactly when CEO Barry McGowan hopes to open the new restaurant, but guests can expect it to open in the second half of 2022, possibly early 2023. This is the latest from Fogo de Chão, who recently committed to an even greater expansion plan in 2022.
All new locations will be found in luxurious high-traffic retail and hospitality destinations and are expected to open by the end of the year. So far, the restaurant has its eyes set on opening a new location in Florida, New York, New Jersey, Mexico, and Brazil. The new locations will feature enhanced design and innovation platforms that complement each restaurant while honoring Fogo’s 40-plus year brand heritage.
The new Woodland Hills will join several other high-end restaurants in the area, such as Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse, JOEY Woodland Hills, and EMC Seafood & Raw Bar. Kennedy Wilson Brokerage’s Sr. Associate Kyle Fishburn and Executive VP Lee Shapiro represent the landlord in this transaction.
“Fogo is in a prime growth position to scale significantly in the years ahead as we target 15 percent annual growth through company-owned restaurants, plus an additional international franchise development strategy,” McGowan said in a press release. “Our unique dining experience has propelled Fogo’s expansion efforts and driven demand in new and existing markets. We’re excited to bring Fogo to more guests domestically and internationally in the years ahead.”
